Hi everyone,

I’ve been asked to spread the word that the 2023 Cherry Gertzel Bursary Award applications are now open. Audrey, Kirsty and I have all been lucky recipients! It is $10,000 (AUD) to help women in African studies at Australian universities, specifically to do fieldwork, and honours the work and legacy of the late and great Prof Cherry Gertzel.

Please consider applying if you’re eligible or pass on to any women you know who may be able to apply.
